2023 EVENT COMMITTEE

Prom Night at Safetyville offers a one-of-a-kind experience for adults to attend a throwback themed prom in Sacramento’s renowned miniature city. The charge of the Safetyville Prom committee is to assist in the planning of this first-of-its-kind event for Safetyville to raise funds and support for the children’s safety and health education program of Safetyville USA.

• Provide input and advise on the plans and strategies that relate to the direction of Prom Night at Safetyville

First meeting is in January and the last meeting is in May.

All meetings will be held at the Safetyville Office, located at 3909 Bradshaw Road at 5:30 pm. Committee members may also join via Zoom, with advanced request. Committee will meet twice monthly in January and February, and then monthly in March and April. The final meeting will be a wrap-up in May.

• The Auction Committee procures auction items for the event, ensures all necessary data is collected and assists with merchandising the auction items (packaging items together to increase their desirability, table décor and set up of auction tables
• The Logistics Committee provides support to Safety Center staff with a variety of activities prior, during and post event. These include; 1) Event Decorating, 2)Assessing equipment and supply needs including Sound/AV/Lighting, Tables & Chairs, 3) Day of event Volunteer Recruitment & Management, 4) Event set up and tear down
• The Marketing Committee will help with the overall promotion of event with ticket sales, post card/flyer distribution, and social media sharing. We welcome any print or media connections.
• The Sponsorship Committee identifies prospects, solicits and secures event sponsorships and table and ticket sales.
• The Vendor Recruitment Committee secures food, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverage vendors for participation in the Safetyville Prom. This committee also provides vendors with excellent customer service and consistent communications all the way through the event to ensure retention.
